Wedding Dates and Divorce
4,276 marriages with an exact wedding date: does the energy of the day predict which ones end in divorce?
The comparison: 2,222 marriages that ended in divorce against 2,054 that lasted until one spouse died, always compared within the same decade of weddings.
Testing CUE’s claim
Marriages begun under 7 or 9 energy end in divorce more often.
Tested two ways: the wedding day’s energy (the day of the month, read like a born day) and the full date’s energy (the whole date reduced, read like a Life Path). Expected divorces come from the divorce rate of weddings in the same decade.
7 or 9 energy weddings No evidence in this data
Weddings under 7 or 9 energy ended in divorce about as often as other weddings of the same decade: 53.3% against 52.0% expected for the full date, 52.0% against 51.7% for the day.

Read this honestly
- These are mostly notable people, whose marriages are recorded because they are famous. Their divorce rate is not the general population’s, but the comparison is fair: every marriage here faced the same fame, and is compared only with weddings from its own decade.
- A marriage that has not ended yet is not in this data, so very recent weddings are underrepresented.
- Other energies were tested too. With a dozen values checked, one of them is expected to look unusual by chance, so single “worth watching” results are not findings.

From CBS News’ list of 50 very expensive celebrity divorces (September 2022). 14 of the 50 have a wedding day recorded exactly; the others are left out rather than guessed. Fifty couples are far too few to show a pattern: this is a portrait, not a test.

- Every marriage in Wikidata with a wedding date recorded to the day and a recorded end: divorce, or the death of a spouse. Most are of notable people: actors, musicians, politicians, athletes and royalty.
- Energies from CUE’s own engine: the day energy is CUE’s born-day energy of the wedding day; the date energy is the full date reduced the way a Life Path is. Chinese friends and enemies follow CUE’s sign table; compatibility is CUE’s score for the two birthdays.
- A difference is called clear only for groups of 50 or more, with at least 5 divorces and 5 lasting marriages expected, at 3.5 standard errors from expected. 2.5 to 3.5 is only “worth watching”.
