What Is A Personal Year?
Your Personal Year is one of the most important timing cycles in CUE numerology. It describes the larger personal theme surrounding a period of roughly one year. Different Personal Years are better suited for different types of action. One year may favor starting. Another may emphasize work, money, change, relationships, learning, or completion. The value is not in treating the number as a prediction. The value is understanding the type of cycle you are moving through so you can make more informed decisions inside it. CUE treats your Personal Year as the larger chapter. Your Personal Month and Personal Day add shorter timing layers inside that chapter.
WHEN IT CHANGES
Your Personal Year Changes On Your Birthday
CUE does not reset your Personal Year on January 1. Your Personal Year changes on your birthday. This is one of CUE's most important House Rules. Your birthday is the date directly connected to you, so CUE uses it as the beginning of your next personal annual cycle. If your birthday is March 28, your new Personal Year begins every March 28. This means two people can be living in different Personal Years even while experiencing the same calendar year.

How To Calculate Your Personal Year
CUE calculates your Personal Year using your birth month, birth day, and the calendar year in which your birthday occurs. Count every digit. Zeros count. Master Numbers are preserved when reached through CUE's approved calculation method. Example Birthday: March 28 Birthday in 2026: 3.28.2026 Calculation: 3 + 2 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 23 2 + 3 = 5 The person enters a: 5 Personal Year on March 28, 2026. That Personal Year remains active until the next birthday. On March 28, 2027, CUE calculates the next cycle using 2027.

How CUE Reads A Calculated 2
CUE does not use an individuated 2 Personal Year. When a Personal Year calculation reaches 2, CUE reads the cycle as 11. Eleven remains a Master Number in the CUE system. This same House Rule applies across Personal Years, Personal Months, Personal Days, and Universal timing.

Use The Year As Context
Your Personal Year gives you the larger theme. It should help you ask better questions. Is this a year to begin? Is this a year to build? Is change the main theme? Should I focus more heavily on relationships? Is this a period for learning before acting? Is money and business becoming more important? Is something ready to be completed? The Personal Year does not tell you that every day of the year should be used the same way. It gives context to the smaller cycles happening inside it.

Your Personal Month Adds The Next Layer
Your Personal Year is the larger chapter. Your Personal Month tells you what part of that chapter is currently active. CUE follows the same birthday based logic for Personal Months. Your Personal Month changes on your birth day of month. It does not automatically change on the first day of the calendar month. For example, someone born on the 28th experiences their Personal Month transition on the 28th. This allows CUE to create timing that follows the individual rather than forcing everyone onto the same monthly reset.

Personal Timing Exists Inside A Larger Environment
Your Personal Year describes your own cycle. The Universal Year describes the broader calendar year shared by everyone. Both can matter at the same time. You may be experiencing a Personal Year focused on completion while the wider Universal Year carries strong beginning energy. That does not mean one calculation is wrong. It means your personal cycle and the broader environment are carrying different themes. CUE studies how those layers interact.
