Nassau carries 28 energy from April 12, 1695, when the Lords Proprietors formally approved the rebuilding of the New Providence settlement as a city to be called Nassau. The settlement itself was older and had previously been known as Charles Town, but the 1695 decision created the Nassau identity that survives today.
One of the most unusual CUE patterns appears immediately around that new identity. The April 12 date totals 28, and during the same rebuilding period Governor Nicholas Trott developed Fort Nassau to protect the new city and its harbour. When the fort was completed in 1697, it was equipped with 28 guns.
