Nassau’s roots go back to an earlier settlement known as Charlestown, but CUE uses April 12, 1695 as the city’s modern identity date. On that day, Governor Nicholas Trott renamed the settlement Nassau in honor of the House of Orange Nassau.
The date carries 28/1 energy, Pig energy, and Aries influence. The 28 is especially notable for a capital that later became deeply connected to trade, shipping, tourism, finance, luxury, and international wealth.
CUE: Nassau is a strong example of why the right historical anchor matters. The older 1492 date belongs to Columbus reaching the Bahamas, not Nassau itself.
The 1695 renaming gives the city a much cleaner identity date, and its 28 wealth imprint fits the role Nassau later developed as a major center of tourism, finance, and international movement.
