The Amazon Rainforest has no literal founding date, so CUE uses September 7, 1822 only as a symbolic Brazil linked reference date, marking Brazilian independence. That date carries 11 energy, Horse energy, and Virgo influence.
The forest itself is vastly older and extends beyond Brazil, so this imprint should represent the Amazon’s modern relationship with Brazil rather than its biological origin.
The Horse imprint becomes more interesting when its direct enemy, Rat, appears. In 2008, a Rat year, Brazil’s INPE measured 12,911 km² of clear cut deforestation in the Legal Amazon, a 12 percent increase from the previous monitoring period. Then in 2020, another Rat year, INPE recorded 10,851 km², another increase, this time 7.13 percent over 2019. Two separate Rat cycles therefore coincide with measurable increases in pressure on the forest.
CUE: The Amazon should not be presented as if it was created in 1822. The stronger lesson is that Brazil’s independence date gives the rainforest a useful symbolic Horse imprint, and repeated Rat enemy years show documented increases in deforestation pressure. The environmental causes are human, economic, and political, but the repeating Horse versus Rat timing gives CUE a far more defensible pattern than calling the Amazon simply “wild” or “spiritual.”
