Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, giving him 22 energy, Monkey energy, and Aries influence. The 22 is especially fitting within CUE because it represents the Master Builder, turning ideas into structures, systems, and lasting works. Leonardo did exactly that across painting, anatomy, mechanics, engineering, architecture, and invention, leaving thousands of pages of studies and designs that continued influencing the world centuries after his death.
A major turning point came around 1482, a Tiger year, when Leonardo left Florence for Milan. Tiger is Monkey’s direct enemy in CUE astrology. Rather than simple failure, the enemy timing coincided with a complete change of environment and role. In Milan, Leonardo worked for Ludovico Sforza not only as a painter, but also as an engineer, sculptor, designer, and technical adviser, expanding the range of disciplines that would define his legacy.
The opposite relationship appears late in his life. In 1516, a Rat year, one of Monkey’s strongest friendly signs, Leonardo accepted an invitation from King Francis I and moved to France. He was given a residence near Amboise and spent his final years under royal patronage, bringing with him several of the works now most closely associated with his name.
CUE: Leonardo’s 22 is more meaningful when connected to what he actually built. His legacy was not one masterpiece, but an entire body of systems, machines, anatomical studies, artworks, and technical ideas. A Tiger enemy year marked a major reinvention in Milan, while a friendly Rat year opened his final protected chapter in France. The pattern shows 22 Master Builder energy expressed through creation that continued working long after the creator was gone.
